Hello Beautiful People,
Happy Sunday, how are we all coping with the Heat, (I heard it’s presently raining in some parts of Nigeria but the rain hasn’t reached my side😭)
Today’s post is about having or maintaining healthy glowy skin this hot season. Now, the heat might presently be saving us from the dryness of Harmattan but due to the heat, your skin becomes more oily and greasy which is not the best state for your skin because this season one can become prone to acne.
If you desire to look fresh and lively even during the hotness of the day, you should consider these tips:
I know alot of us will be avoiding creams and oils this hot season but it is important to moisturize. Surely we should avoid moisturizers that are super thick and cause you to sweat immediately you apply them. But in all we should make conscious effort to moisturize.
2.SUN PROTECTION (SPF)
This is really important, we know how constant sun ray exposure can mess our skin up. It’s important we use sun screen. I know some, if not most of the body cream we use contains SPF of 15 and above,if your body lotion does not contain Sun Protection Factor( SPF) you could get sunscreen lotion.
This is to all the ladies out there, in as much as we are all trying to look good, this really hot weather is not the best for some face baking( except from your house to your car, office etc is air conditioned 🤷♀️) You can still be on minimal make-up and still look good, nobody wants to slay their makeup and when they take it off, you’re left with a face filled with acne. #thinkaboutit.
For those of you that do not exfoilate, I encourage you to do so, your skin will thank you for it.
Exfoliation involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost surface. Exfoliation is involved in all facials, during microdermabrasion or chemical peels. Exfoliation can be achieved by mechanical or chemical means
Basically it’s removing dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. One can do this by using Facial/body scrubs, exfoilating sponge etc You can go to the spa to get it professionally done but it can be easily done at home.
Last but not the least HYDRATION IS KEY. Drink alot of water and mind your Business🌚.
Till next time…
